I’m only level 8 because I spent too much time working on this piece instead of playing Destiny.
A Ring of Black Holes | NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center
Composite image of Arp 147, a pair of interacting galaxies located about 430 million light years from Earth. Arp 147 contains the remnant of a spiral galaxy (right) that collided with the elliptical galaxy on the left. This collision has produced an expanding wave of star formation that shows up as a blue ring containing in abundance of massive young stars. These stars race through their evolution in a few million years or less and explode as supernovas, leaving behind neutron stars and black holes. (more)
Kojima and del Toro’s Silent Hills To Make TGS Appearance
Odds are you’ve already played through the rather brilliant playable teaser for Silent Hills that was quietly announced and released during Gamescom. Now you want more. More horror, more details and Kojima to spill the damn beans on what he and the always delightful Guillermo del Toro have in store for gamers.
Well, the wait won’t be long. Konami’s Tokyo Game Show lineup has been revealed and we can now confirm that Silent Hills will be making an appearance. With a supposed release set sometime in 2016, it didn’t seem likely that we’d see a lot more from this game so soon after its reveal, but according to Konami’s own TGS lineup page, P.T. will not only be shown, but it will also get a spotlight on Konami’s conference stage. Bring on the horror and the change of pants!
One of my favorite shots from the @csiriano “Silhouette” campaign!
